Vision Statement

To be a beacon of hope and compassion that empowers new immigrants, stranded individuals and foreign missionaries in Canada to rediscover their dignity and purpose, reflecting the love and redemption of Jesus Christ.

Mission Statement

To provide holistic support and advocacy for new immigrants, stranded individuals and foreign missionaries in Canada, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, while inspiring community transformation and social justice, guided by our Christian values of love, compassion, and service.

Our Open Arms Outreach is geared towards providing support for:

– New Immigrants
– Stranded Individuals
– Foreign Missionaries

We create opportunities for new immigrants and missionaries to connect with other Christians both physically and virtually, and we offer regular orientations and workshops to support integration, safety, and empowerment.

Aim & Objectives

  • Provide comprehensive assistance to new immigrants, stranded individuals and foreign missionaries in Canada, sometimes including housing, groceries, financial aid, healthcare navigation, legal and immigration information, and access to essential services.
  • Foster physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being through targeted programs, mentorship, counseling, and faith-based support.
  • Build welcoming communities by enabling both in-person and virtual connections among Christians, newcomers, and mission workers.
  • Deliver regular Orientation/Workshops (monthly) that cover settlement, rights and responsibilities, cultural orientation, safety, and faith-based discernment.
  • Advocate for policies and practices that uphold dignity, justice, and equal access to resources for newcomers and missionaries.
  • Promote community transformation and social justice through partnerships with churches, local organizations, government, and international networks.
  • Nurture a compassionate culture built on our core values: Compassion, Dignity, Redemption, Justice, and Community.
  • Equip individuals with tools for empowerment, leadership development, and sustainable integration into Canadian society.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and adapt programs to ensure effectiveness, inclusivity, and impact for both local residents and foreign missionaries.
